| Documented, low mileage MGB and in terrific mechanical condition! This solid MGB has been freshly tuned and ready for the summer!! The MG Corporation was founded in 1924 and began trading its own brand of vehicles by 1925. With a strong variety of vehicles offered, this British manufacturer has always been best known for their open 2-seater roadsters. By 1975, it was celebrating 50 very productive years and marked the occasion with special badging on the Mark IV MGB. This 1975 MGB roadster is finished in Ermine White over original Biscuit Tan interior. Having traveled only 38,926 original miles from new, this remarkable MGB has survived the test of time exceptionally well! It features its original, numbers matching 1798cc inline 4-cylinder engine with correct Zenith Stromberg carburetion and factory smog equipment! A fully sychromesh 4-speed manual transmission with electronic overdrive was standard and offered far better RPMs at highway speeds. This B has a beautiful Nardi mahogany steering wheel and newer AM/FM cassette radio in place of the originals. Also included will be an owners manual, all its original keys, full tonneau cover and boot cover, and factory tire changing tools and jack. Service and ownership history dating back to the original selling dealer will be provided as well! This car sold new to its first registered owner on August 21st, 1975. After 35 years and only traveling 38,000 documented miles, we recently gave this MGB a thorough inspection resulting is some freshening of both mechanical and suspension components. The carburetor was completely cleaned and rebuilt with new gaskets; fresh fuel pump and filter; new manifold and exhaust gaskets, all new spark plugs & plug wires, cap and rotor; fresh oil and oil filter; and new heater control valve. Underneath, the car was treated to new polyurethane control arm bushings, and fresh steering boots with new clamps. Cosmetically, this car was fully repainted in April 2010 along with new door weather stripping. The convertible top was already replaced several years ago and is in excellent shape. New sun visors, interior floor mats, full trunk carpet kit, and center caps for the wheels really completed the car to a like-new condition! Look closely, and you can still see the factory pinch welds around the rear fender arches on this superbly solid car! We do wish cars like this came about more often, but the reality of 35-year-old cars remaining rust free and documented this long is a nearly impossible request! Please feel free to call with any questions or to schedule an inspection. |
